Requirements
All dancers who meet these requirements are welcome to audition and are guaranteed a role:
- 5 years old by August 31 of the current year
- Currently enrolled in ballet
- 1 year of ballet experience (only required for dancers 6 years old and older)

Step 1 - Review VDT Handbook
Using the button below, please read the Vancouver Dance Theatre Handbook and then sign the Permission Waiver and Release of Liability form. All participants are required to complete this step before auditions. This will ensure that you have all of the necessary information for a successful Nutcracker season.

Step 2 - Dancer Registration
Prior to arrival at auditions, register each dancer by completing the registration form by clicking the button below.

Step 3 - Pay Fees
Dancer fees and optional fundraising buyout can be paid before auditions by clicking the button below. If you choose to pay fees on Audition day, VDT will only be accepting cash and check payments at the studio. All credit card transactions must be placed via the CheddarUp link in the button below.

Step 4 - Attend Auditions!
A complete audition schedule will be released the Tuesday of audition week with more details.
Parents must attend a mandatory meeting during your dancer's audition time where we share helpful information for the upcoming season.

Where: Joy of Dance, 19300 NE 112th Ave, Battle Ground, WA 98604 When: Saturday, September 19, 2026, 12:30PM - 5:30PM The audition schedule is below. Please report at the set arrival time. Parents will join a mandatory parent meeting during dancer auditions. We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday! |
